Richard E Grant will star in the Doctor Who Christmas special, the BBC has confirmed.
The Withnail & I actor will join Tom Ward,who has appeared in BBC One’s Silent Witness as Harry Cunningham since 2002, in the show. No word on what characters they will play.
The Christmas special will be written by Steven Moffat, directed by Saul Metzstein and star Matt Smith as the Doctor.
