Splinter Cell headed to the big screen

June 15th, 2012 by bash 1 Comment

Top selling game franchise, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, is being brought to the big screen.

Deadline said the project is currently looking for a studio and that plans are “relatively nascent”.

The first game was released in 2002 and set in 2004, following the adventures of Sam Fisher.

Since then the franchise has had several sequels including, most recently, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction, released in 2010.

A new game, Blacklist is planned for release early next year.

Hi all. I'm Bash, I'm 33, and I became a nerd when I first saw Star Wars as a child. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. At Following the Nerd, I'm Marc's right hand man and can be heard every Thursday trying to be funny on our radio show. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
