Star Trek Countdown Into Darkness

October 22nd, 2012 by bash Comments

A prequel comic for the upcoming J.J. Abrams film Star Trek Into Darkness will arrive this coming January and it will be called Star Trek Countdown to Darkness.

The comic, by IDW, will be a four-issue prequel mini-series that sets the stage for the upcoming film.

A statement by IDW read: “Like the best-selling STAR TREK: COUNTDOWN in 2009, this all-new series leads directly into the next movie, with a story by STAR TREK writer/producer Roberto Orci and Mike Johnson (STAR TREK ongoing series), and drawn by the original STAR TREK: COUNTDOWN artist, David Messina! STAR TREK COUNTDOWN TO DARKNESS is the can’t-miss lead-in to the new adventures of the Enterprise crew.”

The comic will lead up to the May 17 release for the film. You can see the cover to the first issue above.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
