The Huntress set for Arrow

August 23rd, 2012 by Christopher Williams Comments

The CW is really mining DC for all it’s worth to bring characters into The Arrow’s world. is reporting that The Huntress will show up in Starling City. While there have been many variations on the character, including an Earth-2 counterpart that is the daughter of Bruce Wayne and Catwoman, the CW is going with the modern take on Huntress.

The role will be filled by Australian TV actress Jessica De Gouw. Huntress, who’s real identity is Helena Bertinelli, will be a “potential love interest for Oliver Queen; a fellow vigilante, set on destroying her father’s organized crime empire. But Helena’s blind pursuit of revenge will put her on a collision course with The Arrow”.

Sounds to me like she may be a foe turned friend who will probably enlist our hero in her plans for revenge on her father. Look for her to make her debut around episode six. Normally I’m not a fan of CW’s vision of DC heroes. Once I saw how emo Clark was in the first few episodes I pretty much checked out of Smallville for the rest of its 10 season run. But I won’t lie, with Huntress, Deadshot and the potential of DeathStroke showing up I’m definitely going to have to pay attention to The Arrow.
