The Stand lands Blood Creek screenwriter

January 19th, 2012 by bash Comments

Vulture is reporting that the Warner Bros. adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand has landed screenwriter David Kajganich.

Kajganich, writer of The Invasion and Blood Creek, also worked on an as-of-yet unproduced adaptation of King’s It, which is likely what brought him to director Ben Affleck’s attention, as well as an adaptation of Pet Semetary at Paramount.

Previously adapted as a television miniseries in 1994 starring Gary Sinise and Molly Ringwald, The Stand tells the story of a full-scale apocalypse, driven by the accidental release of a biological weapon and the ensuing struggle of good versus evil carried out by the world’s final survivors.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
