It never ceases to amaze us just how often toy companies and fast food outlets spoile movies… don’t get us wrong, we at FTN like spoilers, but in the shape of a happy meal or sweetie box?

Well, the tradition continues with Joss Whedon & Marvel’s upcoming The Avengers movie. Joss has recently tweeted assuring fans that the alien army seen in the trailer is NOT the skrull and while we weren’t convinced, we enjoyed the mystery… however, MTV Geek has been mooching around Toy Fair 2012 and has been snapping toys and look at this… an Avengers game from Jakks Pacific’s! Great, right? But look at the villains in the game… yes, it’s a rather pink looking Skrull army.

MTV write: “To our eyes, theses little pink wonders from “The Avengers” Mighty Battle Skill and Strategy Game look like the spitting image of the shape-shifting Skrulls! While the Skrull’s involvement in the upcoming film have been denied; this coupled with the recent Superbowl ad makes it very hard to argue that they don’t play a large part. As an added bonus, the bottom right hand side of the box states it’s “the Battle for the Cosmic Cube!”

So, given the trailer and the figures, it’s kinda hard to argue, isn’t it? More as we hear it…
