After the Dark Knight Rises shooting in July, the world of movie fandom is rocked once again as a terrifying storu hits us where we should feel safest…
Twenty-year-old Blaec Lammers from Bolivar, Missouri has been charged after allegedly planning a mass shooting at a cinema showing Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn part 2.
According to the Bolivar police department, Lammers was apprehended at a local drive-in after his mother contacted the police, saying that her son had recently bought some weapons and was planning on using them to shoot people at a cinema.
Lammers was taken to the local police department and questioned where he revealed to them in a interview that his intention was to target people at a Sunday night screening of the film, with a possible move to also attack people at a local Wal-Mart. He also admitted that he had bought around 400 rounds of ammunition, two assault rifles and tickets to the screening of the film.
Police chief Steve Hamiliton told the AP that Lammers was receiving treatment for a mental health condition and that he was off his medication before he planned the shooting.
Lammers is now being held on a $500,000 bond and is expected to face a court hearing this Wednesday where he faces charges of first-degree assault, making a terroristic threat and armed criminal action.
