November 29th, 2012 by bash Comments

The TV adaptation of Stephen King’s novel Under the Dome is set to debut on CBS, it has been confirmed.

The series was originally being developed by comic book/TV writer Brian K. Vaughan (Lost) for Showtime with Steven Spielberg onboard as a producer.

Many fans are expected to welcome the move as the creative freedom on cable should enable the series to breathe.

Niels Arden Oplev, who directed the Swedish adaptation ofThe Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, is being earmarked to helm the first segment of the sci-fi series.

CBS has given the show a straight-to-series 13-episode order and will be shown in Summer 2013.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
