Van Damme and Lundgren back for Universal Soldier

August 17th, 2012 by bash Comments

Hot on the heels of appearing in this summer’s smash action sequel, The Expendables 2, Jean Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren are going back to one of their earlier success stories – Universal Soldier.

Both actors will star in Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning which will play at Fantastic Fest in September, then be on video-on-demand on October 26 and in theaters in the US on November 30.

Directed by Peter Hyams, this will be the fourth sequel to the 1992 film, though there were two TV movies released in the late 90′s that featured Burt Reynolds and Gary Busey, but neither Van Damme or Lundgren.

Lundgren was given an over the top death in the first film, but he also came back for the second sequel ‘Universal Soldier: Regeneration’ so it’s likely his survival has been explained away.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
