Want to rule the Seven Kingdoms? Now’s your chance… for a price

HBO plan to release a replica Iron Throne on Tuesday for sale to the general public, though the target audience is more likely die-hard fans and collectors, as the item comes in at a spikey $30,000!

The replica throne is made from fibre-glass, so you’re less likely to slice yourself open than if you were to put the real molten-metal version in your living room to watch Family Guy from. Either way, I don’t imagine it would be overly comfortable.
If you are intending to replace your sofa with a throne made from the swords of defeated enemies, you will need to make sure you have room, as the replica stands over 7ft tall and over 5ft wide. Oh yes, and 5ft 11 inches deep, so if you’re more of an Imp than a Kingslayer, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Kelly has been a Star Wars enthusiast since birth and while new to the Marvel and DC Universes, laps them up faster than Odin steals Jotun babies. In her spare time she enjoys marathon-watching Buffy, rereading old books, dancing quite well, acting the lig, singing quite badly and formulating devious plans for world domination over some Shakespeare and a cuppa. If she isn't writing something abstract for her own enjoyment, or an article for Following the Nerd, she can be found trooping with the Emerald Garrison or storming the Death Star (sometimes both). She loves strawberries but hates bananas and thinks Loki just needs a hug. Her chosen superpower would be flying, and she thinks daffodils are ugly. She's also a Malteser - natural blonde but dyed brunette, though that's not really relevant, is it?
