Well…this could be happening.

More than one television network is interested in playing patriot games — or at least bringing Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan to the small screen. The CIA hero of movies “The Hunt For Red October,” “Patriot Games,” “Clear and Present Danger,” “The Sum of All Fears” and “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit” has attracted top tier stars to the role like like Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and Chris Pine. As a franchise, it’s earned more than $1 billion worldwide, not bad huh?

Now Paramount TV, Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes, writer/producer Carlton Cuse and writer Graham Roland are prepping a contemporary, small-screen take on Ryan using Clancy’s novels as source material, we’ll have to see how far this goes as it develops.
