It’s always sad when we have to say goodbye to someone who we have enjoyed all our lives…
It is with a heavy heart that we bring you the sad news that Eric Sykes sadly passed away earlier today after a short illness.
Eric Sykes was a true legend in British comedy circles as he regularly worked with the likes of Spike Milligan, Tommy Cooper and even Peter Sellers.
Though he may not be known to the younger generation, Sykes was also a great comedy writer who worked on such classic television shows as The Tony Hancock Show, The Week That Was and also the highly popular short, The Plank.
Eric Sykes was also a very talented actor who worked in everything from his own television show, Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines (1965), Monte Carlo Or Bust (1969), Theatre Of Blood (1973) to The Teletubbies and even Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Eric Sykes made everyone that saw his work laugh and smile and that is a reason to mourn him…
