X-Men: Days of Future Past links Magneto to the JFK Assassination

November 26th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher 1 Comment

As part of the viral marketing for X-Men: Days of Future Past, a new site, The Bent Bullet, launched today and it details Magneto’s involvement in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The shooting which transpired 50 years ago this week in Dallas’ Dealey Plaza will now play a role in the anti mutant agenda:

“Half a century ago, Magneto was implicated in the mutant plot to assassinate President John F. Kennedy. The events of that fateful day in November have been a point of contention between humans and the mutants ever since.”

Check out a video that explains the fictional conspiracy at the bottom of the page.

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The beloved characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class, in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.

Bryan Singer has managed to gather an impressive cast which includes James McAvoy, Ian McKellen, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Halle Berry, Shawn Ashmore, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Jackman, Peter Dinklage, Patrick Stewart, Omar Sy, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Boo Boo Stewart, Adan Canto, Evan Peters, Josh Helman, and Lucas Till.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to be released in theaters on May 23, 2014.
