Will Smith not interested in MIB 4?

June 2nd, 2013 by Edwin Torres Jr Comments

It has already been announced that Sony Pictures will be making a Men in Black 4, but it sounds like they may end up doing it without Will Smith. During a recent press event forAfter Earth, the actor was asked about the film, and he doesn’t really seem that interested in reprising his role. Most assumed that he would come back maybe in a more of a management role but here’s what he told Collider recently:

“Uh, y’know… I think three is enough for me. Three of anything is enough for me. We’ll look at it and we’ll consider it, but it feels like that it might be time to let someone else do that.”

I’ve enjoyed the Men in Black franchise. All of them have been fun and entertaining movies. Of course it would be cool to see Smith reprise his role, but if he doesn’t, it’s one of those franchises I wouldn’t mind seeing some new faces in. Smith did seem open to the idea of his son Jaden stepping into his shoes in the film, but that doesn’t really make much sense to me, there are so many other ways you could take the franchise.

Whenever I hear an actor say “consider” I imagine that means they want to see the money they’re set to earn. Let’s see what happens.

If Smith doesn’t comes back any thoughts for who should replace him?
