The Huffington Post Canada recently got a chance to talk to William Fichtner about his upcoming projects including The Lone Ranger, Elysium, and Crossing Lines. Since he is usually playing a villain,  his role in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle came up. The actor responded:

“I play Shredder. It is cool. It’s one of those things that came along where I thought, “Really? Let me think about this for a minute.” [Laughs] Then I was like, “Yeah, OK, this sounds like a journey.” I’m very glad that it worked out, I’m really glad that I’m doing it.”

Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, the film features a screenplay by Josh Appelbaum, Andrew Nemec, Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and John Fusco, and is based on the characters created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman. The film stars Megan Fox, Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek , Noel Fisher, Will Arnett, Danny Woodburn and William Fichtner.

It lands in theaters June 6th, 2014.
