Yes, Prime Minister in TV return

March 30th, 2012 by bash Comments

Classic BBC comedy Yes, Prime Minister is coming back for a new six-part series.

Original writers Jonathan Lynn and Antony Jay will pen the new show, based on their 2010 stage production.

The series, which will be aired on TV channel Gold, will see Prime Minister Jim Hacker back in office leading a coalition government.

No word on who will play Hacker, who was originally played by Paul Eddington in the original series.

Yes, Prime Minister ran from 1980 to 1988 for 38 episodes and also starred Nigel Hawthorne as Cabinet Secretary Sir Humphrey Appleby and Derek Fowlds as Hacker’s private secretary, Bernard Woolley.

Hi all. I'm Bash and love anything and everything to do with Star Wars. Although I've watched hundreds of movies, read dozens of books and played numerous computer games from other genres and franchises since, nothing has come close to seeing George Lucas' epic for the very first time. I hope you all like the site and come back often.
