Your chance to help FTN really scare someone this Hallowe’en – Have You Seen This Adam?

October 15th, 2012 by Marc 1 Comment

Got a favourite scary YouTube video you like to spook people with? Or just got a bit of sadism in you?

Dedicated guinea pig Adam of “emotional response” technology Sensum is ready to record and share his response to a video nominated by you, the fans of Following the Nerd, for a Halloween special of “Have You Seen This, Adam?” .

To see how the Sensum emotional response technology works, check out FTN’s Phil getting his response to the original Star Wars trailers tested, at TitanCon 2012:

Then post a YouTube link to your chosen video nomination over on, tagging ‘Following The Nerd’ in your post.

Head honcho here at FTN, Marc Savage, will make the final pick from all FTN nominations for Adam to be subjected to/enjoy – he’ll share his response over on the Sensum blog (see for more on the TitanCon testing).

Videos must be:
– Safe for work
– Publicly viewable on YouTube
– Less than 3 mins long (Adam’s got work to do…)

Don’t forget to tag ‘Following the Nerd’ in your post so it gets included in the nomination list!

Looking forward to seeing your suggestions – don’t go easy on him:)

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
