A visual history of Superman’s iconic ‘S’

June 8th, 2013 by Edwin Torres Jr Comments

With only a week away from Man of Steel being released in theaters, I thought this would be a good time to post this infographic. It was made by HalloweenCostumes.com and it gives us a visual history of Superman’s iconic ‘S’. All the way from 1938 to the present day. It includes every incarnation of Superman’s chest-shield as it has appeared in not only the comics, but in movies and TV shows as well. It is very interesting to see just how much it has changed over the years.
