Looks like details have leaked a little early about the theme song to Skyfall… and just who’ recording it.
Roger Friendman at Showbiz 411 has confirmed that Adele DID record the title track for the latest 007 movie, confirming what many of us suspected for a while now.
Friedman claims he has heard the track, entitled Let the Sky Fall, and he wrote: “It’s an ominous, dramatic ballad, with lots of gorgeous horn flourishes peeking out through Adele’s now trademark vocals. It’s also fresh, new, and original.”
Adele hinted to Jonathan Ross in 2011 that she was set to record a theme, but wouldn’t say to what and in April this year, Bond producer Barbara Broccoli told Netflix that there was no artist attached to record yet, but they ‘loved’ Adele.
Looks like the cat is out of the bag on this one, Adele is a prefect fit for a Bond theme as far as we at FTN are concerned. However, the rumours don’t end there. The Sun newspaper, yeah, we know, reported earlier in September that Adele was at Abbey Road studioes at the same time as Thomas Newman who is scoring the movie.
If you’re not sure who Adele is or if she can handle the gig, listen to this:
