It was confirmed less than 24 hours ago that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 will be getting a new director in the form of David Green (here) and now some details of who we can expect to see in the movie have appeared…

Speaking to Omlette, producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form have confirmed that we’ll see Bebop and Rocksteady in the movie –  the image above was based on designs for the characters to appear in the first movie although it never happened. But it’s possible that this is pretty close to how they will appear. The pair also say that Casey Jones isn’t too far from their minds either:  “We can say that Bebop and Rocksteady are in the film, and Casey Jones is a character that we love and we’re trying to fit him in as well.”

This is great and certainly hints as a bigger feeling movie in the second outing. They also confirmed the return of Shredder.

I didn’t hate the movie by any means, in fact I actually really liked it, so I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes this time out…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
