Extended cut of The Hobbit looks increasingly likely…

With the DVD releases of the original Lord of the Rings trilogy we had tons of deleted scenes and many have asked if the Hobbit will follow the same path.

Given the question has already been asked how Peter Jackson has forged a trilogy from the Hobbit book, it seems there couldn’t possibly be any extra footage to spare, given he had to drag it out.

However, never underestimate a determined fan. An enterprising fan, according to our friends at Nerd Bastards,  has put together a montage of stills from the first trailer which shows that more may have been cut than anyone realizes.

    Probably early parts of the second movie. If I recall, the first trailer came out back when there were only two movies in the series, not three.
