If there is one thing that’ll set off fanboys, it’s changes to mythology of the show/movie/comic that they love so much.
This goes especially for Star Wars fans, as they have more or less spelled out the universe it lives in (seriously, look up Wookiepedia…) to the smallest details. So when something “official” messes with that? Look out!
Want proof? Look no further than The Force Awakens trailer. No, I don’t mean the hilted lightsaber, I’m talking about the reveal that John Boyega was a Stormtrooper, or at least we think he is.
Why is this a problem? Well as stated in Attack of the Clones, all the Clone Troopers (soon to be Stormtroopers) were made based off the DNA of Jango Fett. So many a fan cried out in rage that Boyega was in Stormtrooper gear.
Well, if you didn’t like that, you probably won’t like this!
What’s going on you ask? Well, it’s being rumored that British actress Amybeth Hargreaves will be in The Force Awakens…as a female Stormtrooper! Again, this is just a rumor, but if it was true…wow, that would be interesting wouldn’t it?
We’ll just have to wait an found out the “truth” when Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives on Dec 18, 2015
