We posted this at the weekend on our Facebook and Twitter pages and it’s been so busy that we forgot to post them here, sorry… but we got all flustered.
Yes, the remake/reboot that we hated, then loved a little, then hated, has now firmly placed us on the side of…SERIOUSLY!?
Here are the first pictures of Robocop circa 2013. Yes, Joel Kinnaman has been photographed by the guys at coming soon and here he is in all his, em, glory.
Looking more like Christopher Nolan’s Batman – only without the cape – we aren’t impressed. He looks more like a man in SWAT gear than the cyborg we love from Paul Verhoeven’s classic.
And what’s with the exposed hand? Is this a nod to the line in the original movie where Bob Morton asks why he has a human arm? Or has Kinnaman simply removed the glove for another reason?
We like the design, it’s sleek and pretty cool – it just ain’t Robocop as our comparison below shows.
