Hobbit set to be a trilogy after all?

July 29th, 2012 by Owen Quinn Comments

It seems that the rumour that the Hobbit movies may well become a trilogy may have some truth to it after all.

It all began when Peter Jackson revealed production had finished on the two new movies with the revelation that he far too much footage.
Immediately speculation began how to create a third part to complete it as a trilogy.
Reportedly Jackson, producer Fran Walsh, Sony Brothers and writer-producer Philippa Boyens are in talks to see if they can actually complete a new trilogy.
If this happens then the cast will return to New Zealand for additional filming to expand on the story even more allowing further characters to be explored in the context of the new movies.

Can they do it? If anyone can it’s Peter Jackson.
