I wanted to direct Jurassic Park: James Cameron

September 14th, 2012 by Owen Quinn Comments

You know, we always wished James Cameron had directed Transformers. It was never on the cards, it just seemed like a natural fit to us, but this would have worked too. Maybe in some parallel earth this movie exists. Maybe the Fringe team have seen it… anyway, I digress…

Did you know that if a certain director had gotten his eager little mits on a certain Jurassic Park script then things may have been completely different to what we saw on screen.

James Cameron, celebrated director of Titanic, Aliens and Terminator to name but a few has revealed he really wanted to film the dinosaur movie taken by Steven Spielberg. And although he has praised what the Jaws director achieved with both the movie and the leap in effects, one can’t help get the feeling he watches it and inwardly imagines the movie he would have made.

We can’t help wondering either. Time for a -gasp!- reboot people with Mr Cameron at the helm?
