We do love the rumour mill… wait, are we part of it now?

Anyway, rumours abound about Iron Man 3 – William Sadler for example, will he play Tony Stark’s long-time friend and confident (in the comics) Dr. Sal Kennedy, who was murdered by The Mandarin (a roll rumoured to be played by sir Ben Kingsley)? Or is he just a general who’s friends with Rhody? Time will tell… but the rumour we love most right now is the post-credits scene. If this is true it sounds like a mini movie all of its own.
It would seem that SHIELD is still present in the Avengers movie universe and where we grew to love agent (Phil) Coulson in the previous movies, it seems Maria Hill is filling that role this time. Rumour is she’ll pop up in the post-credits, as will… wait for it… Radioactive man (although different from the comics) and Ant Man.
‘But wait!’ we hear you cry, ‘isn’t Edgar Wright directing an Ant Man movie?’ Well, yes, and it’s part of the rumour that he’ll be handling this scene too. Seriously… how cool is that?!
As we say, treat this all as rumour, but it certainly makes sense in a lot of ways – new Avengers characters that have been hinted at, the replacing of Coulson with Hill and the involvement of Wright… but still, we’ll believe it when it’s leaked on youtube.
