They say it takes only one movie to help make a career, and for Dave Bautista, that was Guardians of the Galaxy. Now, the wrestler turned actor is not only going to be in the next James Bond movie, he’s been attached to play the big bad in the reboot of Highlander.
Bautista will play The Kurgan, the barbarian that stands between Connor MacLoed and the end of his journey. In the original highlander, it was Clancy Brown who played The Kurgan.
Director Cedric Nicolas Troyan has said: “We have to find that younger emerging guy, and surround him with a strong Kurgan, and an actor who shines as Ramirez the way Connery did in that film film.”
