One of our favourite rumours this week is the news that Thor: The Dark World may feature another familiar face for Marvel fans…
Yes, the rumour mill is spinning away, and this time, once again, Doctor Strange has arisen. The character, who in the comics who is almost killed in a car crash then wakes up with near-impossible psychic powers, is apparently being lined up for Viggo Mortensen or Warrior actor Joel Edgerton – Nicholas Cage was rumoured for years to be attached to a solo movie, but this looks very unlikely given Cage’s history with comic adaptations.
Given that the reason this is all doing the rounds is primarily because there has still been no hints from Marvel that a Strange movie was coming it still seems a bit of a stretch. Still, with a Dr Strange script by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer done and dusted, this is all still very much filed under rumour, as cool as it may be…
