The new Robocop reboot continues to gather pace with Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Joel Kinnaman, Jackie Earle Healey and Cornish Abbie confirmed to have signed up.

Now an actor usually associated with comedic roles such as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice and How to train your Dragon is reportedly set to join the cast. Jay Baruchel is close to signing a deal to take the role of the head of Omnicorp, the company responsible for building the cyborgs. I personally think he’s a great actor who lights up the screen and can’t wait to see if this is a more serious role for him or will he lighten the mood in an otherwise dark movie.
