So Jurassic Park IV came and, em, went. Mysteriously only days after director Collin Trevorrow Tweeted an image of the new Isla Nublar.
And everyone kind of just thought that was it. Now however, it seems there may be a little more to the tale.
CBM are quoting original Jurassic Park star Sam Neil, who played Doctor Alan Grant (above), as saying that he wasn’t going to be in the fourth movie because “I’m told it’s a big reboot, a total re-jig”.
Which is odd, because producer Frank Marshall clearly stated last year that this would be a sequel NOT a reboot. Is it possible that the studio, Universal, are unsure what what way to go with the movie? Maybe they are torn over the current trend of reboots and the older notion of a good old-fashioned sequel.
Either way, we’ll be watching the screens and dailies for more news on this one…
