We may have mentioned that Batman movie coming out this summer, but there’s been very little talk about the other Batman movie coming later in the year…
Yes, this Fall will see the blu-ray/DVD release of The Dark Knight Returns. Frank Miller’s ‘final’ Batman adventure (em, except for the sequel he wrote) is arguably the greatest Batman comic ever written, if not the greatest comic of any type.
Set in a nihilistic future where society is crumbling under the weight of crime and media, Gotham City is on its knees, over-run by a vicious gang called the mutants. But Bruce Wayne cannot simply sit back and watch, no matter how old he is.
This is a 12 minute peek into the movie and what the first half – yes, it’s so epic it’s in 2 parts – of the movie will bring us. Oh and doesn’t Peter Weller just feel so damn right as Batman? Now if only we could confirm those Mark Hamill as the Joker rumours… Enjoy
