So, who voiced THAT character in the Guardians of the Galaxy post-credit scene?

If you haven’t seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet be warned… here be spoilers

Turn away if you don’t know about the post-credits scene

We’re not messing…

You’ve been warned…

OK, you’re still here, so don’t blame us..

After the credits role on Guardians of the Galaxy, the remaining scene introduces a character that, frankly, we never thought would appear in this version of the Marvel universe but yet, there he was… Howard the duck. Boom!

But, even more interesting, was who voiced him. We all know Nathan Fillion was in the movie and to be honest, I thought maybe that was where Fillion’s talents were used, voicing this crazy addition. For the record, Fillion was the massive guy Groot lifted by the nose when they arrived in prison; who knew?

But, no, Nerd icon Seth Green is the man behind Howard the duck… yes, the Austin Powers, Robot Chicken and Buffy star is now officially the weirdest part of the Marvel universe (so far). And that’s sort of awesome.

Will we ever see Howard in a standalone movie? Or even in another Marvel movie? It’s unlikely, but remember, the next time you watch a Marvel movie, somewhere out there, Howard is a living, breathing thing. Love it.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
