August 1st, 2014 by Marc Comments

Deadline are reporting that the Manga Soul Reviver is set for a live-action make over thanks to Edward Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz, partnering with Fields Corporation and All Nippon Entertainment.

The English language adaptation will be based on “The supernatural action series was originally created in 2012 by Tohru Fujisawa and Manabu Akishige and has featured in Hero’s, a monthly Japanese comic magazine. The story centers on Jin and Clara, two soul revivers who have the ability to move between the worlds of the living and the dead and to bring certain people back whose mission on Earth was not complete at the time of their demise. There are currently four editions of the manga.”

Herskovitz and Zwick will write the screenplay and Zwick will direct. Zwick said: “Japanese cinema has always been a touchstone for me. I’m excited to extend that relationship to this new and vital part of Japanese culture.”

No more details are known at the minute but we’ll tell you as we hear it…

He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
