While The Raid is one movie that DOES NOT NEED REMADE, it is rolling ahead anyway…
Well, it looks like, if nothing else, the remake will be a bit different. Speaking with Grantland, director Patrick Hughes called his version an “ensemble piece”.
He compared it to “Black Hawk Down” and “Zero Dark Thirty”. He went on to say he’s casting the main 12 characters now and shooting will be early 2015, “After that, I’m pretty sure I won’t do a movie with ensembles, camouflage, and guns for a while.”
So it looks like the remake will be more of a re-imagining…
