UK top ten box office countdown (14th Sep 2012)

Last week’s number one, Total Recall could only hold on to the top spot for one week with one of this week’s new entries taking its crown despite the box office not being set alight.

Three new films entered this week’s top ten, first off, going in at number three, is the latest version of Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina, doing better by hitting the number two spot was Lawless starring Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf. The highest new entry this week went to Dredd 3D which went in at number one making it the first 18 rated film to hit the top spot since Saw 3D managed to do that feat back in October 2010.

New Releases – There are a lot of films out this week but only three of them stand out, first off is the big screen debut of 80s TV cop drama The Sweeney, your next choice is an animated film that seems to be getting good reviews, Paranorman in 2 and 3D, your final choice is the latest film starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Premium Rush.
