Wait, have Warners a ‘no joke’ policy on their DC movies?

August 27th, 2014 by Marc Comments

This is a weird one…

Batman News is reporting that HitFix are claiming Warner Brothers have a strict “No jokes” policy on their movies.

Now, we’re not exactly sure what this means. No gags, no “Holy rusted metal, Batman!”? Well, that’s fair enough but how far would such a thing go? After all, no matter how bleak or serious something is, there’s always room for a giggle. In fact sometimes it’s essential.

Interestingly, the article got the attention of Seth Rogan who quickly said it was nonsense:

@SethRogan Tweeted: @slashfilm @russfischer this is bulls@#t.

He then added: @slashfilm @russfischer by that I mean it’s not true.

So, is this just mad reporting, a wind up or have DC decided to put the chuckle officers on their new franchise? Hard to know…
