September 11th, 2012 by Marc Comments

Despite the fact that we at FTN towers must have 20 copies of Blade Runner in various formats – heck, I backed HD when I should have went Blu-ray, so this is a MUST buy for me – we all still get excited when it’s released. Again.

On November 23rd the 3 disc, 30th Anniversary release will hit shelves, stores, online (pick one) and it’s stuffed full of goodies:

It will feature the Final Cut on Blu-ray, DVD and get a UV copy of the feature (digital copy).

There is also a very cool new model Spinner Car, an action Lenticular and a 72 page art production book with never-before-seen Ridley sketches, poster art and photos from the set.

It will include the 10+ hours of bonus content from the 2007 Ultimate Collector’s Edition from 2007 plus a new gallery of newly discovered sketches from director Ridley Scott, photos from the set and more.

Full line-up:
– 72-pg. Production Art book
– Special scene Lenticular
– All new and numbered collectible spinner car designed by visual futurist Syd Mead
– Content includes all five feature film versions – The Final Cut, 92 Director’s Cut, Domestic and International Theatrical versions and the rare Work Print.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
