WATCH: Three new Ghostbusters: Afterlife clips released as Hasbro Pulse Con reveals full scale Proton Pack replica coming UPDATED

October 23rd, 2021 by Marc Comments

A few cool new Ghostbusters bits for the fans today as we have two new pieces of footage and something of a dream come true for fans of the franchise.

Many collectors will undoubtedly know that this weekend is Hasbro Pulse Con 2021 (link here) where Hasbro releases news and teases of their upcoming products from the world of Star Wars, Transformers, Power Rangers and much more. They previously said that as Ghostbusters: Afterlife is not out yet, they won’t be revealing any new toys to save any spoilers from the movie.

However, they did reveal one thing… a full-scale Proton Pack replica (and we all know that Proton Packs aren’t toys!).

The pack, image left, will be a Haslab product and details will be fully revealed on the 27th of October. Haslab means it will be crowd-funded; in other words, if not enough people back it, it won’t be produced. As this is likely to be a very expensive piece of kit, we’re not surprised.

I have waited since I was a seven-year-old boy who went to the cinema in 1984 to see Ghostbusters to have a proper Proton Pack replica and I feel this could be one of my biggest purchases in the next few years.

At Hasbro Pulse, they also revealed a new extended clip from the movie which is a lot of fun and features new characters to the lore Pheobe and Podcast turning on the proton pack.

You can check it out here:

On top of this, Cinemax in the USA has released a new trailer for the movie welcoming people back to the cinema and reminding us why movies like this need to be seen on the big screen.

On top of all this, the official Ghostbusters TikTok page has put out a new clip called How Not To Open A Ghost Trap… it’s very spoilery and I wish I’d not watched it but, if you wish to see it, it’s right here.

A new teaser for the Proton Pack has been released:

Plus a new clip from the movie itself:

New TV Spot has new dialogue from Dan Aykroyd’s Ray Stantz:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
