The year that saw the dinosaurs return in Jurassic World is also the year that saw Ant-man make his big screen debut.
So far we’ve seen Ethan Hunt return for another Mission: Impossible, we’re drawing close to the end of the Hunger Games and everyone’s favourite rude and crude cuddly toy was back as Ted 2 arrived.
Plus, don’t for get, cinema’s two most iconic franchises return this year with Star Wars: The Force Awakens and James Bond: SPECTRE.
However, if there’s one thing that links all the year’s best movies it’s character. Great characters – wait until you watch The Martian, Mark Watney is one seriously cool guy – are at the heart of every great movie.
