Rutger Hauer is joining the cast of HBO’s True Blood for season six, according to TV Line.
The 68-year-old will play Macklyn, a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason.
The Dutch actor has appeared in a number of vampire films and TV shows including Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Salem’s Lot.
True Blood will premiere in June of 2013.
