Four new images from the upcoming Doctor Who anniversary episode have been released, courtesy of The Express, which include Matt Smith and David Tennant alongside guest stars Joanna page and Ingrid Oliver.
Steven Moffat has described the upcoming 50th Anniversary episode, The Day of the Doctor, as “exciting and terrifying – everything that showbiz should be. This should be the next step on the journey, guaranteeing the 100th anniversary. The story focuses on the most important thing that ever happened to the Doctor. We very rarely do that in Doctor Who as it’s usually about the people the Doctor meets or the companion that travels with him. This time it’s different.”
Moffat has also revealed that while a number of past characters are set to reappear in the special episode, he is focusing purely on the future of the Doctor.
In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him.
Dont forget – a full length clip-based trailer is scheduled to air on BBC One in the UK this Saturday, at 8pm!
Incase you’ve been caught in a quantum lock over the last few months and still don’t know, November 23rd will be The Day of The Doctor.
