New Ninja Turtles Series Gets A Premiere Date and series details

July 12th, 2012 by Christopher Williams Comments

Who’s excited for new Turtles? Yeah, us too…

According to Entertainment Weekly, Nickelodeon will premiere a reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series. The new show will begin airing on Saturday, September 29 at 11:00 am with a one-hour special event.
The show is then slated to run 26 half hour episodes about the mutated turtles who kick crime’s butt under the leadership of Splinter, a giant mutated rat who teaches our heroes ninjitsu. American Pie’s Jason Biggs and Samwise himself, Sean Astin are reported to be casted as the voices of two of the turtles.
According to Nickelodeon the show will focus more on the comedy and action while telling the story of the four brother turtles trying to learn to rely on themselves and one another on the path to unraveling the mystery of their existence and becoming the heroes in the half shell they are destined to be.
As an 80’s kid I’m definitely looking forward to this reboot of my favorite shelled ninjas.
