Okay, so after a load of films bearing nothing more than a passing resemblance to the games (do NOT get me started on Apocalypse), it seems that a production company is pushing for a live-action TV series.
Taking its lead from Gotham, the series’ title is Arklay, described as being northwest of Raccoon City. This is of course the location that a generation of gamers found the Arklay Mountains, Arklay Mansion and Umbrella Inc.’s main T-Virus research laboratories.
Mance Media is behind the proposed series, created by newcomer Shawn Christopher Lebert. Should it be picked up, the show is to delve into the mysterious homicides of Raccoon City that preceded the original game.
And thanks to Bloody Disgusting, we have Mance Media’s pitch: “When Detective James Reinhardt is thrust into a series of bizarre homicides, he unravels the city is hiding a dark conspiracy. Learning a fatal virus is connected to it all, Reinhardt discovers it’s already coursing through him. With time no longer on his side, he must solve the conspiracy to save his own life”.
Come on… you’re at least curious…
UPDATE:
Despite is running this story originally in August, it now seems that Contantin TV will now be handling the series in the near future. Little Else is known about it at this time according to Variety.
