For Walking Dead fans, the two big questions about the spinoff were about the cast, and the location. Obviously this wouldn’t be tied to the books, so the characters need to be interesting to keep viewership up. The other thing is location, cause it needs to be set somewhere both visually interesting, and a place where zombies can believably roam free.
So, what better place than LA, right? Right?…ok, moving on.
Yes, the spinoff, that’s being called Cobalt for right now, is indeed set in Los Angeles. The reason for this may be because the story is set to focus on the early days of the outbreak, and efforts to try and stop the soon-to-be zombie apocalypse. This would explain the more populated location, and using the iconic city.
Whether this is the actual truth has yet to be seen.
