It looks like Microsoft are aiming to close the gap between computer and console this October.
When the company launches its Windows 8 OS on October 26th it will have an XBox app pre-installed. And through this app it will be possible to play a number of XBox games – well, 32 to be exact, including: Angry Birds, Collateral Damage, Dragon’s Lair, Fruit Ninja, Zombies!!!, and Gravity Guy. According to xbox.com: “Xbox games on Windows brings you a growing portfolio that spans genres and delivers fun-to-play titles playable on any Windows 8 PC, laptop or tablet.”
And if you play these games on your console, worry not; the app will include such features as Xbox achievements, leaderboards, multiplayer modes and connecting with friends.
