Play the Game of Thrones!

July 4th, 2012 by Jay Comments

Game of Thrones Seven Kingdoms, a massively multiplayer game based on the A Song of Ice and Fire series, has been revealed.

Set following the events of the first book, players must align themselves with families throughout Westeros as they fight for the claim to the throne.

Players will take part of Player Vs Player combat, Siege combat and politics in a bid to control the seven kingdoms.

“Selecting a game’s title can be quite an arduous process, especially in the free-to-play space where games must be easily discoverable by players around the world,” said producer Max Pfaff.

“By selecting Game of Thrones Seven Kingdoms we’re confident that we’ve chosen an identifiable name that will resonate with the global community of diehard Thrones fans.”

It will be co-developed by Bigpoint and Artplant, who previously worked together on Battlestar Galactica Online.

Game of Thrones Seven Kingdoms will be given its first trailer during Comic-Con later this month, and will enter beta testing later this year.

The fantasy series was recently given a role-playing game on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
