WATCH: Epic trailer for Marvel Heroes released

October 18th, 2012 by Marc Comments

Another little gem from NYCC for gaming fans..

This trailer for the Free-to-play MMO Marvel Heroes was revealed at the convention along with the news that there has been additions to the list of playable characters in the shape of Luke Cage, Nova and Pheonix, these have now been added to the ever-expanding list of characters that so far include: Black Widow, Cable, Captain America, Colossus, Cyclops, Deadpool, Emma Frost, Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, Ms. Marvel, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Storm, The Thing, Thor, and Wolverine

The game will feature over 8,000 heroes and villains – that sound was our collective jaws hitting the floor.

The game certainly seems to be taking itself seriously and aims to create an incredible experience for the players as it’s written by FTN favourite Brian Michael Bendis author of Ultimate Spider-Man and New Avengers to name a few, and will apparently feature many of the epic story lines from the history of Marvel comics.

Still no word on release dates. Visit the official site here

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
