After the death of Stieg Larsson in 2004 most people – rightly – assumed we wouldn’t have anymore installments in his magnum opus, the Millenium trilogy. However, we were all wrong…
This August 27th That Which Does Not Kill will be released in 35 countries; it will be completed by David Lagercrantz, co-author of Swedish football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s autobiography.
The book will focus once more on Lisbeth Salander, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Details on the 500 page book are being kept secret at the minute. The book will be in Swedish like the others originally.
Lagercrantz told the Dagens Nyheter newspaper: “What I wanted to make use of in the book was the vast mythology that Stieg Larsson left behind, the world he created.
“Lisbeth Salander’s not just any superhero. She’s not only great because of her talents but also because of her context and background.”
The late Larsson had reportedly another seven book s planned. It is not known if they will be the basis for That Which Does Not Kill or if the stories will all eventually be released in a similar form at this point.
