SuperHeroHype while talking to Amy Adams about David O. Russell’s American Hustle, asked how she’d feel if Wonder Woman’s presence in Batman Vs. Superman would lead to a love triangle:
“Am I interested? I don’t know. I mean, we’ll see. I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we’re not in a love triangle. That would be fun. Maybe where we team up together and we work as teammates instead of adversaries.”
The comics have covered both a romantic and platonic relationship between Superman and Lois Lane and Superman and Wonder Woman, so it really could go either way.
I really hope they don’t do the love triangle thing. I think it’s kind of a shame that Wonder Woman’s first big screen appearance ever is as a “third wheel,” but then to be involved in a love triangle as well? I hope they pass.
Batman vs. Superman (or whatever) is being scripted by David S. Goyer from a story he co-created with Zack Snyder. Snyder is directing. Man of Steel‘s Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in the film, Ben Affleck is Bruce Wayne/Batman and Gal Gadot is Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also reprise their roles in the sequel.
It is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
