Humans, the joint Channel 4 and AMC produced series about the creation of androids, has begun production on its second season. With the announcement of this has come details of several new cast members added to the show’s line-up, with The Matrix and Marvel’s Jessica Jones actress Carrie-Anne Moss being added as Dr Athena Morror, an artificial intelligence expert who is working on creating a new kind of machine consciousness.
Moss is not the only new cast member to be added, also rounding out the cast are Sam Palladio (Nashville) as Ed, a café owner, Marshall Allman (Bates Motel) as Milo Khoury, a young billionaire and CEO of a leading technology company, Letitia Wright (Cucumber/Banana, Doctor Who) and Sonya Cassidy (Olympus).
It’s not yet known which members of the cast from season 1 will continue in the show, but it is expected to continue following the advancement of android Niska (Emily Berrington) who now has a hard drive containing the code for artificial consciousness.
Season 2 of Humans will air in 2016 on Channel 4 and sometime later in 2017 on AMC.
